The Art of Platinum Printing blog was founded photographer, printmaker and publisher David Chow. He runs DC Editions a specialist platinum printing studio based in the U.K that has been creating platinum and palladium prints for a broad range of photographic practitioners, from the leading photographic artists in Europe to renowned institutions such as the National Portrait Gallery, the British Museum and the Royal Anthropological Society.
David studied photography at degree level and printmaking at master’s level at the Cambridge School of Art and is one of a very few practitioners in the country to be actively using alternative printing processes including Cyanotype, Kalitype, Photogravure and Platinum/Palladium printing and has been doing so for the last 10 years.
David’s personal work is represented by a number of galleries in the U.K and overseas and has exhibited his work widely and is included in numerous private and corporate collections. His work has been featured in numerous publications including The Journal of Fine Art photography and Black White Photography magazine.
